The City of Savanna Municipal Court provides citizens with a fair and impartial court of law by interpreting and adjudicating applicable state laws and city ordinances.

Procedures & Fines

The City of Savanna court docket is the schedule of the court. Defendants will be expected to adhere to the procedures and protocol of the court at all times, including proper attire.

All mobile devices, including phones, must be turned off. Photography and audio recordings are prohibited. No food or drink will be allowed in the court room at any time.

DO NOT SEND CASH OR PERSONAL CHECKS

You may pay your citation online at www.myfinepayment.com; by phone by calling 877-591-8768 or in the mail by MONEY ORDER or CASHIER’S CHECK ONLY! Make all money orders or cashier’s checks payable to Savanna Court Clerk. Make sure to put a copy of your citation in with your payment. Payments must be RECEIVED by end of business (4:30 pm) on court date.

(Postmarked dates will not be accepted) ADDITIONAL FEES MAY BE ACCRUED:

If payment is not received by close of business on court date a FTA WILL BE ISSUED AND $500.00 FTA FEE will be added to each ticket as well as a Bench Warrant will issued for your arrest. If payment is not received 10 days after court a $200 Failure to Pay fee will be applied, your license will be suspended and a Warrant will be issued.

You must either pay your fine by the court date printed on your ticket or you must appear in court.

*DO NOT ASSUME THE INSURANCE TICKETS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DISMISSED WITH PROOF OF INSURANCE. YOU MUST CALL THE COURT CLERKS OFFICE AT 918-548-3332.

Insurance Verification Must Be In Our Office by the Day before Your Court Date

Insurance Verification Must Come Directly From the Insurance Company to Be Accepted For Dismissal

 CDL DRIVERS SHALL NOT BE ABLE TO DEFER ANY CITATION.

Contact the court for questions about Deferred Adjudication to possibly keep your ticket(s) off of your record. (An additional Deferred Adjudication fee of $100, $200 or $300 will be added to your ticket if you select this option; according to the violation.)

*If you wish to contest this citation, and feel that you were not at fault, please contact our office 14 days before the court date.

*You must call the day before your court date to verify that court will still be in session on the scheduled date and time. (Court may cancel or continue without notice)

I just received a citation, what do I need to do?

You have been issued a citation for a violation against the laws of the State of Oklahoma and/or the laws against the City of Savanna. On your citation you will see a "Court Date". Our court is a "Pay or Appear" court, which means, if you pay your fine before the court date, you do not have to appear. If you do not pay before the court date, you must appear.

What if I am not guilty?

If you feel that you are not guilty of the charge filed against you, then you have the right to contest your ticket. You will need to call the court at 918-548-3332, no later that two weeks later before court, to be sure you are placed on the trial docket.

Do I have to have an attorney to contest my ticket?

No, you do not have to have an attorney.

Why did the officer take my picture?

Since Covid, we are no longer taking signatures on the citations. Your photo is taken as verification as to your identity.

Why is the officer asking for my phone number?

The officer is asking for your phone number, so we can contact you if need be.

I don't live in Oklahoma, can I have virtural court?

No, we do not offer virtual court at this time.

Can I keep my ticket off my record?

If you have a regular class driver's license, you can call the court at 918-548-3332 and speak to the clerk to request Deferred Adjudication.
